Promoting Full-Body Wellness
Taking care of your body involves more than chiropractic care. At ProActive Chiropractic & Wellness, we assess and examine your body as a whole. Our chiropractic clinic promotes general wellness through our individualized patient treatment plans. Find care personalized to your unique body when you work with us.
Conditions We Treat
Your body contains a massive network of nerves and biomechanical systems. When those systems go down, many clients seek relief in chiropractic care. At ProActive Chiropractic & Wellness, we offer adjustments and spine manipulations to optimize your nerve function and restore your regular quality of life. Clients all across College Station choose our chiropractor for back pain or sciatica. Our team strives to support your body’s self-healing systems.
Personal Injury Recovery
Searching for a chiropractor to treat your personal injuries? A car accident, sports injury, or workplace accident can cause various musculoskeletal problems. When it comes to personal injury recovery, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all treatment. All of our clients undergo a multipoint physical examination to build their individualized treatment plans. Whether you are working with an attorney or through auto insurance, we can help you get through the personal injury process.
Clients can undergo rehabilitative treatments in our in-house gym with our professional chiropractors. Our rehabilitative programs are meant to strengthen your weak muscles by remodeling the soft tissue. Patients in treatment will go through personalized, gentle exercise routines to slowly regain the strength and flexibility they once had.
Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft tissue treatments are an important component of our process in the office. We perform a number of different techniques for soft tissue based on the patient's individual needs or complaints. Some soft tissue techniques used in the office are Active Release Technique (ART), cupping, scraping, electric stimulation, heat/cold, percussion therapy, and ultrasound. Each instrument can be used independently or in conjunction with another to provide the best possible outcome.
Spinal Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical procedure to provide patients with lower back and neck pain relief. By using a traction table or similar device, we can stretch the spine to provide pain relief and promote healing for several ailments. Reach out to our team to see if spinal decompression would be beneficial to you!
When a tissue is damaged, it becomes inflamed and tense. This reduces circulation, causes pain, and reduces your range of motion. When it happens, we recommend dry needling. Dry needling is an effective tool that relaxes the muscles, increases circulation, decreases inflammation, and triggers a healing response to the affected areas. This therapy is built to combat muscular tension and is often used to treat tendinitis, nerve irritation, muscular strains, headaches, and more. During a dry needling treatment, small needles are inserted into the affected muscles or musculotendon junctions to help eliminate inflammation at the source.
Does your child want to start participating in sports? When you need a sports chiropractor for your child, reach out to our team. During a sports physical, we’ll evaluate the athlete, assess their present fitness level, examine any pre-existing conditions, and evaluate any previous injuries. Our sports chiropractor offers individual or group sports physicals. Group physicals are arranged by the school on designated weekends.
When an athlete is injured, the standard practice for recovery is for the athlete to wear a wrap or a brace on the injured area. But those are bulky, annoying solutions that can get in the way when training. RockTape is a flexible, efficient solution that helps athletes enjoy better circulation, muscle balance, and natural movement. We offer RockTape for athletes of all sports.
Our prehab program is designed primarily for, but not limited to, athletes who emphasize being proactive about their health throughout their training and competition schedules. The program consists of injury prevention, muscle balancing, proper exercise form, exercise routines, and nutrition/supplementation. Dr. Allen is a firm believer in "It doesn't matter how talented of an athlete you are. If you cannot stay on the field, then it doesn't matter."
